St. Norbert College professor receives "Unity in Diversity" award

De Pere: St. Norbert College education professor and director of overseas student teaching Bola Delano-Oriaran received the Unity in Diversity award during ceremonies in commemoration of Martin Luther King Jr. Sunday Jan. 18 at the Lawrence University Memorial Chapel in Appleton. The 13th annual event was sponsored by Toward Community, a nonprofit volunteer organization whose mission is to promote unity through a sharing of cultural values, an appreciation of the richness of diversity and a commitment to justice through education, advocacy, and service. Delano-Oriaran is a founding member of African Heritage Inc., and was recognized for her efforts in bringing a multicultural center to the Fox Cities. The Fox Cities Rotary Multicultural Center will open in Appleton in late spring. Delano-Oriaran said,
