Next Stage, St. Norbert College's summer musical theatre program for high school students, will present "Miss Saigon," Thursday, Aug. 11, through Sunday, Aug. 14, at the Walter Theatre in the Abbott Pennings Hall of Fine Arts on the college campus. All shows are at 7:30 p.m., except for Sunday which is 2 p.m.

"Miss Saigon" is a hit musical that retells the story of Giacomo Puccini's opera "Madame Butterfly," examining love, loss and clashing cultures through the doomed relationship between a Vietnamese woman and an American GI during the Vietnam War.

Tickets for the production can be purchased online at https://snc.vbotickets.com. Tickets can also be purchased by calling 920-403-3950, or 800-SNC-BOXX [800-762-2699] for those outside of the Green Bay area, Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Next Stage offers young performers the chance to experience hard work, commitment to the music-theatre discipline and sustained excellence over the course of a full production. The program is led by St. Norbert College faculty members Michael Rosewall (pit orchestra and vocals) and Sarah Parks (advisor, coordinator), as well as former Notre Dame Academy choral director Teresa Schmidt (artistic director) and Notre Dame Academy faculty member Andrea Hearden (choreographer).
