St. Norbert College sophomore Kelly Kuehl (pronounced "keel") (Sherwood, Wis.) was recently awarded a study abroad grant from The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi. Kuehl is currently majoring in biology at the college. She will use the grant to study abroad in Valparaíso, Chile, and is one of 50 students nationwide to receive the award.

The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi is the nation's oldest and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines. Founded in 1897, the society has chapters at more than 300 colleges and universities in the United States and the Philippines. Membership is by invitation only and its mission is "to recognize and promote academic excellence in all fields of higher education and to engage the community of scholars in service to others." The study abroad grants program was started in 2001 and has since awarded more than $775,000 in grants to members and nonmembers seeking to expand knowledge and experience in their academic fields.
