Fiesta Hispanica at St. Norbert College

DE PERE: In an effort to educate and increase awareness of different Hispanic cultures, the St. Norbert College Spanish Club presents Fiesta Hispanica, a night featuring authentic Mexican food, a live salsa band and guest speaker Daniel Guerra, Saturday, April 23 from 6 p.m.- midnight at the Sensenbrenner Memorial Union. Isla Adentro is an energetic, 14 person Salsa and Merengue Band. The members are currently staying in Milwaukee, but most of them originate from Latin American. This is the fourth year that they are invited back to St. Norbert College to perform. Guest speaker Daniel G. Guerra Jr. has served as vice president for Latinos United for Change and Advancement, Inc. (LUCHA) for the past three years. LUCHA is a non-profit organization that serves the city of Madison and Dane Country by improving the quality of the Latino community. Guerra also serves on the board of directors for Centro Hispano of Dane County and chairs the Sanchez Scholarship committee that is devoted to providing a path for middle school students to college education. Professionally, Guerra serves as president and CEO of Argus Innovations, a web site development, internet marketing and telecommunications company.
