Kevin Van Ess and the Talk of the Town to kick off the fourth season of "Knights on the Fox"

Kevin Van Ess and The Talk of the Town will kick off the fourth season of the "Knights on the Fox" summer concert series on the St. Norbert College campus on Tuesday, July 11 at 6:30 p.m. Cheryl Reed, cheer and dance team coach at the college, will emcee the evening's festivities. The five-week outdoor concert series is held on Tuesday evenings from July 11 through August 8. All five concerts are free and open to the public.

Kevin Van Ess and The Talk of the Town is a six-piece New Orleans swing jazz band performing all styles of music with an emphasis on Pete Fountain, Al Hirt, Louis Armstrong, the Dukes of Dixieland and The Preservation Hall Jazz Band. The group has performed at the "Knights on the Fox" concerts the past two years and will make its third appearance this season. Cheryl Reed will be entering her ninth year as the cheer and dance team coach at St. Norbert College this fall. She has been active in cheerleading and dance for 18 years. Her teams can be regularly seen at community events and clinics as well as on game days at Lambeau Field. Reed also serves as the events and fundraising director at the YWCA of Green Bay and De Pere. "Knights on the Fox" features local performers and a picnic atmosphere perfect for families. Sandwiches, hotdogs, popcorn, pretzels, ice cream, bottled water and soda will be available for purchase
