International Education Week

St. Norbert College will be hosting a series of internationally-based educational events from Nov. 12-17 to honor International Education Week. The College's goal is to internationalize the campus through recognition of different cultures and raising the global awareness of the St. Norbert College community. On Sunday, Nov. 12, Beyond Borders will cook food from different countries during International Cooking Night in the Michels Residence Hall lounge from 5-7 p.m. Sgt. Nicholas Hitt, a St. Norbert College student, will be sharing his personal experience of living and serving with the U.S. Army in Iraq on Monday, Nov. 13. Beyond Borders will host the presentation in the Fort Howard Theater at 7 p.m. On Tuesday, Nov. 14, the International Honor Society Phi Beta Delta will induct new members at 6 p.m. in the Union Shield Room. Career Services will offer a workshop on utilizing international experiences the same night in the Bemis International Center (Bemis), Room 114AB. A job search for international students will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 15 in Bemis from 6-8 p.m. by the Center for International Education and Career Services. Beyond Borders will also present a panel of international students speaking about discrimination and conflict around the world at 8 p.m. in the Campus Center. On Thursday, Nov. 16, Beyond Borders will show the film "Life is Beautiful," a story of an Italian Jew in a Nazi concentration camp, in the Campus Center at 8 p.m. Throughout the week, Dining Services will provide international cuisine in the cafeteria and Leadership, Service and Involvement will hold a contest called "The International Quiz," with prizes sponsored by the President's office.
