William Falk, a junior at St. Norbert College, is one of five undergraduate students selected from a pool of applicants to receive the National Resource Center for The First-Year Experience and Students in Transition fellowship. These individuals are actively involved on their respective campuses in first-year experience programs, and they have exhibited an interest and desire to learn more about first-year student issues and services to not only enhance student life on their current campus, but to grow so as to influence first-year students as professionals as well. The fellowship enabled Falk to attend the 26th Annual Conference on The First-Year Experience in Dallas, Texas in February, where he was recognized at the banquet dinner along with the other fellowship recipients. Jessica Schmechel, associate director of Student Involvement at St. Norbert College, notes "William is passionate about the importance and impact of St. Norbert College's FYE program. It has been an amazing, energizing experience working with him. William has a passion for his work."
