Three students awarded Rath Scholarships at St. Norbert College

Marissa Greuel, a junior education major, Linda Gruber, a junior biology major and Carlee Kocon, a junior English major, have each been awarded a $10,000 Wisconsin Foundation for Independent Colleges Inc. Rath Scholarship. Rath Scholars demonstrate personal characteristics of leadership, community service and academic excellence. Recipients must maintain a 3.2 grade point average while receiving the scholarship. This is the first time three students from one institution have received Rath Scholarships at the same time. Greuel is from Stevens Point, Wis., Gruber is from Menominee, Mich., and Kocon is from Spring Lake Park, Minn. St. Norbert College is a Catholic, Norbertine liberal arts college known for its academic excellence, focus on international awareness, and leadership and service opportunities. Founded in 1898 by the Rev. Bernard Pennings, O.Praem., a Norbertine priest, St. Norbert College provides an education that is academically, personally and spiritually challenging.
