The "Princeton Review" magazine released its online profiles of the best colleges and universities in the nation recently. The magazine reported that St. Norbert College is one of 161 schools receiving the Best in the Midwest designation. According to the "Princeton Review" the schools ranked were chosen by the magazine's own high opinion of them and the feedback they got from counselors, students, parents, and educators. The magazine has also mandated that each ranking set must contain a wide variety of colleges, ranging from liberal to conservative, expensive to inexpensive, and traditional to non-traditional. Additionally, each school on the list must allow candid surveys of the student body. When asked about the recent success of St. Norbert College in the "Princeton Review" William J. Hynes, president of the College, stated, "We are pleased to be ranked one of the best liberal arts colleges in the Midwest by the student based Princeton Guide. Students appreciate our excellent academic reputation, our friendly supportive community, the opportunity to study all over the world and a chance to work to improve the lives of others." The "Princeton Review's" assessment of St. Norbert College comes on the heels of last week's publication of "U.S. News & World Report," which ranked St. Norbert College as one of the top liberal arts colleges in the nation.
