DE PERE: St. Norbert College presents Tim Riley speaking on "Censorship and First Amendment Rights" Monday, March 14 at 7 p.m. in the Fort Howard Theater, F.K. Bemis International Center. The presentation is free and open to the public. Riley is a scholar on rock n' roll and has written several books on The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Madonna and many others. He is an expert on censorship and First Amendment rights and has contributed to the National Public Radio's "Here and Now," "All Things Considered," and "Morning Edition." In his presentation, Riley will explore the controversy around our coarsening popular media and examines how these issues relate to freedom and responsibility in American life, bringing incisive critical perspective to the underlying class, race and sexual orientation themes. The St. Norbert College speaker's committee and Y.E.S (Your Entertainment Service) are the sponsors for the presentation. For more information, contact Bruce Tychinski at bruce.tychinski@snc.edu.
