St. Norbert College Brad Liebl Guest Artist Vocal Recital

The St. Norbert College music department presents the Brad Liebl Guest Artist Vocal Recital on Saturday, Sept. 22 at 7:30 p.m. in the Walter Theatre, Abbot Pennings Hall of Fine Arts. Admission is free and open to the public. There will be a reception in the lobby following the recital. The concert will feature St. Norbert alumnus Brad Liebl, class of 1970, performing works by Alessandro Scarlatti, Francesco Durante, G.F. Handel, W.A. Mozart, Johannes Brahms, Ambroise Thomas, Richard Strauss, Edvard Grieg, Michael Head, Stephen Foster and Gioacchino Rossini, as well as works arranged by Benjamin Britten and Aaron Copland. Liebl completed his doctoral studies in musical performance at the University of Cincinnati-College Conservatory of Music. He has become well-known throughout South Africa as an interpreter of operatic leading roles, art songs and oratorios. In Germany, Liebl has sung operettas and lieder, and in the United States he continues to feature as a principal performer in oratorios and operas.
