The St. Norbert College Republicans have put together an informational campaign to recognize Veterans Day on Sunday, Nov. 11. They hope to make students aware of its importance and to inspire them to thank a veteran. Ribbons will be handed out that students can wear and letters will be written to current troops, thanking them for their service.

On Thursday, Nov. 8 at 6 p.m. the College Republicans will host State Representative Phil Montgomery in Cofrin Hall room 15. The event is free and open to the public. Montgomery will speak about the 2008 elections, both locally and nationally, and about how to get involved politically.

On Thursday, Nov. 15 at 6 p.m., Mark Block of the Wisconsin chapter of Americans for Prosperity will be on campus to speak about his organization and the different involvement opportunities available. It will be held in Cofrin 15 and is free and open to the public. For more information, contact Benjamin Noffke of the St. Norbert College Republicans at ben.noffke@snc.edu.
