DE PERE: St. Norbert College recently hosted the 2005 Mathematics Competition for area high schools. The top five teams were Ashwaubenon, first place, Green Bay Preble, second place, Green Bay Southwest, third place, Fond du Lac, fourth place, and Ripon, fifth place. Earning St. Norbert College Presidential Scholarships were seniors Laura Stansfield of Ripon, Austin Grossman of Southwest, Ryan Pavlik of Ashwaubenon, Emily Jayne of Ashwaubenon, Tony Bierke of Preble, Michelle Nys of Preble, Casey Floros of Ripon, Ingrid Xu of West, Sarah DeMott of Preble, Michael Bartell of Preble, Elliot DePrez of Ashwaubenon, Chris St. John of Fond du Lac, and John Stern of Fond du Lac. Juniors were Brian Pietsch of Southwest, Josh Halbur of Fond du Lac, David Pathakjee of Preble, Eric Johnson of Ashwaubenon and Nathan Deckere of Fond du Lac. Freshman and sophomores were Mike Jacobs of Preble, Rebecca Furdeck of Clitonville I, Hillary Jenny of Southwest, Hillary Rosenheim of Clitonville, Colin Donovan of Ashwaubenon, Bryan Lindsley of Clitonville I and Cody Borgstrom of Ashwaubenon.
