The John Bruce Organ Concert Series will present organist Ken Cowan on Saturday, April 5 at 2 p.m. at St. Norbert Abbey.
Cowan is one of the most sought-after organists in North America. He has performed solo recitals across the United States and Canada and won several awards, including first place at the Royal Canadian College of Organists National Competition and the Yale Institute of Sacred Music National Competition. He is currently the adjunct assistant professor of organ at Westminster Choir College in Princeton, N.J.
The Rev. Bruce, a priest in the Episcopal Diocese of Fon du Lac, was a close friend of St. Norbert Abbot Sylvester Killeen, O.Praem., and honorary member of the Norbertine order. The memorial concerts were established in his name at St. Norbert Abbey. St. Norbert Abbey is located at 1016 N. Broadway, De Pere. The concerts are open to the public and donations can be given at the door.
For more information, please contact the Rev. Bartholomew Agar, O.Praem., at (920) 337-4378.
