Laura Lear

Marketing Strategist and Accounts Manager

B.B.A., University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee

Laura Lear joined the office of communications in early 2015 and currently serves as the marketing strategist and accounts manager.

Laura works closely with the creative director and the director of communications and marketing to develop, execute and measure marketing strategies and processes that support the institutional strategic plan and revenue goals of the college, as well as the effective use of its resources.

In addition, she is the lead liaison between the office of communications and units in need of marketing services. She assists internal clients with developing, executing and measuring the effectiveness of their marketing plans and projects. Laura also oversees marketing project management within the department.

Laura graduated with a bachelor of business administration degree (major in marketing, minor in journalism and mass communications) from the Lubar School of Business at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. After graduating, Laura worked in communications and marketing for some local non-profits before spending more than seven years with a local advertising agency as a senior account executive.

In her free time, Laura enjoys running, league volleyball, audiobooks and podcasts. She, her husband and their son can often be found outdoors camping, downhill skiing and fishing. Additionally, Laura gives back to the community by serving on the Village of Hobart's park and recreation committee and is an emeritus advisory board member for the Women's Fund of Greater Green Bay.
