Entertainment 2 Knight - Student Manager/Bands Coordinator — LSE

Duties:
Accountability
Reports to the Associate Director of the Campus Center.

Responsibilities
The Entertainment 2 Knight Bands Coordinator for the selection of musical entertainment for the Entertainment 2 Knight programming board. This position is responsible for selection, pre-advance, day of show and follow up for any musical artists brought in by the E2K programming board.


Specific Duties – Bands
Oversee the selection, implementation, promotion, and evaluation of programs in the bands/music area.
Submit the necessary information (Press Kits) to the Promotions Coordinator in a timely fashion.
Negotiate performance contract with professional agents and/or artists.
Responsible for ensuring that all points of the contract and rider have been met for both parties.
Attend every event sponsored by the bands area and other E2K events.
Maintain an exceptionally accommodating relationship with the artist(s) during their visit to SNC by greeting and remaining available to them throughout the show until the end of the evening.
Maintain an accurate account of the bands Budget.
Prepare bands budget for the following fiscal year with the aid of the Assistant Student Manager.
Attend NACA regional conference: April 5-8, 2018.

Qualifications and Salary
The Student Manager must be at least a part-time student (2 undergraduate courses), have at least 2 semesters remaining, be in good academic standing with cumulative and semester GPAs of 2.25 or higher, and be able to work a minimum of 8 hours per week during the academic year. Some work during breaks may be necessary.

The Student Manager must be able to work without direct supervision.

Base Wage: $7.25/per hour
