Advice for writers
The best thing you can do when you have an assignment that seems overwhelming is to just start writing. Also, particularly with regard to essays that require you to make an argument, try to become emotionally invested in the assignment and internalize the points you are trying to make. This will make the process more enjoyable and increase the pride you feel in your final product.

How do you get started on a writing assignment?
When working on a paper, I begin by creating a list of the fundamental ideas that I will express. From there, I establish a thesis and formulate effective topic sentences. I typically write the introduction after this, as it allows me to get into the right mindset to write the essay. I then write my paragraphs and make sure that sufficient information is provided to support the topic sentence in each paragraph.
