Advice for writers
Know your own process. There are so many different ways to approach writing and it’s easy to get overwhelmed. Just figure out what works best for you and stick to it. It's never a bad idea, though, to refer back to the prompt; this will help you stay focused and save you from doing extra work later on.

How do you get started on a writing assignment?
It usually takes me awhile to get into the right headspace to write a paper. I'll spend a day for sure just mulling over the prompt in my head before I actually start writing. Outlines are also super helpful for me. I find that bracketing out my paper helps me to form my arguments better in my head, allowing the writing to flow easier and more naturally when I sit down to type the bulk of the paper.
