Green Knights Rally to Top Lawrence

APPLETON - St. Norbert College bounced back from a two-goal deficit to defeat Lawrence University 3-2 in a Midwest Conference match at USA Sports Complex.

The Green Knights (8-2-2, 2-1-2 MWC) snapped a four-game winless streak with the victory. St. Norbert trailed 2-0 late in the first half before scoring one goal just before halftime and two second-half markers to tip the Vikings (1-10-2, 1-5-1).

Lawrence took the lead with two goals just over five minutes apart late in the first half. Robert Desotelle scored at 37:34, and Cameron Pieper put the Vikings up 2-0 at 42:47. The Green Knights responded 53 seconds before halftime with Robert Quinlan's first goal of the season, with Marco Delbecchi and Jim Blisk assisting.

Blisk scored the equalizer at 64:56 for his third goal of the season, with Sam Lamers assisting. Kevin Marx then scored the game-winning goal at 83:34 off a helper from Sean Sladky.

St. Norbert outshot Lawrence 19-10, including 12-4 in the second half. Scott Faul made five saves for St. Norbert, while Aaron Sutton made 10 stops for the Vikings.
