STEVENS POINT - St. Norbert College trailed 4-2 after the first period and couldn't rebound and dropped a 5-2 decision to UW-Stevens Point in a non-conference game at Ice Hawks Arena.

The Green Knights (6-5-1) were tied 2-2 with the No. 7-ranked Pointers (9-3-1) when the host struck for two goals late in the first period to swing momentum their way.

St. Norbert took the early lead with a goal by Reaghan Chadwick at 7:29 of the first period, her first collegiate goal. The Pointers needed just 13 seconds to counter with a goal by Lexi Englund. Stevens Point went ahead 2-1 on a goal by Meredith Ingbretson at 12:25.

The Pointers' Megan Menotti was then fingered for a major spearing penalty at 14:09, and St. Norbert tied the scoring on a power-play marker by Chadwick at 15:04. Stevens Point came out of the penalty with the lead, however, with Kat Nejedlo scoring shorthanded at 17:07. The Pointers' Rachel Reynard then scored a power-play goal at 19:58 of the first period to cap a wild first 20 minutes with a 4-2 lead.

Nejedlo scored a power-play goal at 14:09 of the second period for the game's only other goal.
