DE PERE - St. Norbert College and Lake Forest College battled to a 1-1 tie in the semifinals of the Midwest Conference Tournament at Schneider Stadium, but the Foresters advanced with a 5-4 shootout win in six rounds.

The shootout was tied 4-4 through five shooters and advanced to the sudden-death phase. Lake Forest's Seton Trostle converted his shot, while the Foresters' goalkeeper Elvin Husetovic made a save on Sam Lamers' shot to clinch the shootout.

St. Norbert (11-5-3) took a 1-0 lead when Kevin Marx finished a loose ball of a Tyler Kassube direct kick at the 71:35 mark. The Green Knights appeared to be in good shape until the final minute, when the Foresters cashed in on a Jeremiah Erzen goal with 38 seconds to go in regulation time.

The Green Knights outshot the Foresters 4-0 in the two overtime periods, but couldn't find the net.

St. Norbert outshot Lake Forest 11-9 and held an 8-5 advantage in corner kicks. Sam Lisheron made two saves for the Green Knights, while Josh Geiger made three saves for the Foresters and Husetovic made four stops in relief.
