Green Knights Drop Season Opener to Carthage

DE PERE - St. Norbert College had four matches go to tiebreakers but couldn't get any of them to go its way as the Green Knights opened their season with a 9-0 non-conference loss to Carthage College at Green Bay Tennis Center.

The Green Knights had their match at No. 3 doubles go to a tiebreaker before Katlyn Gahan and Meg Witt fell to the Lady Reds' Natalie Favia and Lauren Woznicki 9-7.

Three singles matches went to three sets but against Carthage claimed all three decisions. Elizabeth Manlick lost to Casey Frommer 6-4, 4-6, 10-7 at No. 1 singles. Gahan fell to Kristin Kalinka 6-3, 2-6, 10-7 at No. 4 singles, while Ashley Randazzo was tipped by Favia at No. 5 singles 6-7 (1-7), 6-4, 10-2.
