Green Knights Shine Under Golden Dome; Artz Places Second

NOTRE DAME, Ind. - St. Norbert College finished in fifth place in the collegiate division at the National Catholic Championships hosted by the University of Notre Dame.

Erin Artz finished second in the division of the 5,000-meter race to lead the Green Knights to 159 team points. St. Norbert finished behind three NCAA Division II schools and one NAIA school.

Stonehill College won the team title with 51 points, while Aquinas College was second with 88 points. Lewis University was third with 151 points, while Walsh University had 158 points to edge the Green Knights for fourth place..

Stonehill's Nicole Borofski was the race winner with a time of 17:33, about 10 seconds ahead of Artz's time of 17:43.

Taylor Domro finished 23rd with a time of 19:09, while Abby Janton was 41st in 19:31. Graceanne Tarsa placed 44th with a time of 19:34.

Gretchen Price rounded out St. Norbert's scoring with a time of 19:40 to finish 51st overall. Clarissa Jauregui was 54th in 19:42, while Sarah Parbs was 62nd with a time of 19:49.
