Danforth, Diedrich Named Third-Team All-Region

DE PERE - St. Norbert College sophomore Tia Danforth and freshman Amanda Diedrich have been named third team All-Great Lakes Region by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association.

Danforth, an Oneida native and a West De Pere High School graduate, hit .382 with four home runs and 26 runs batted in. She started all 37 games and scored a team-high 34 runs. Danforth also hit 10 doubles and had three triples. She walked eight times and was hit by 10 pitches to forge an on-base percentage of .469.

Diedrich, a Kaukauna native and a Kaukauna High School graduate, hit .310 with four home runs and 25 runs batted in. She started all 37 games and added seven doubles and two triples. Diedrich drew a team-high 12 walks for an on-base percentage of .381.

St. Norbert finished 21-16 overall this past season and won the Midwest Conference regular-season and tournament championships.
