Green Knights Blank Ripon; Clinch MWC Tournament Berth

RIPON - St. Norbert College defeated Ripon College 9-0 in a Midwest Conference dual at Larson Courts. The win marked the eighth consecutive meeting the Green Knights blanked the Red Hawks by a 9-0 score.

The Green Knights (7-3, 6-1 MWC) also clinched a berth in the MWC Tournament on April 26, 2018 with the win.

Meg Witt and Sofie Koppmann beat Morgan Makar and Courtney Olson 8-2 at No. 1 doubles. Jordyn Lawatsch and Lauren Paulson topped Rachel Hicks and MacKenzie Warner 8-2 at No. 2, while Claire Hetzel and Stephanie Doerfert blanked Katelyn Peroutka and Carly Wesner 8-0 at No. 3.

Lawatsch routed Olson 6-0, 6-1 at No. 1, followed by a 6-2, 6-0 win by Witt over Makar at No. 2. Paulson topped Warner 6-2, 6-0 at No. 3.

Hetzel needed three sets to defeat Hicks 3-6, 6-1, 10-5 at No. 4. Doerfert beat Peroutka 6-0, 6-2 at No. 5. Koppmann blanked Alejandras Cardenas 6-0, 6-0 at No. 6.
