St. Norbert Remains Unbeaten Against Lawrence

DE PERE - St. Norbert College remained unbeaten in the all-time series with Lawrence University with a three-set Midwest Conference win in Connie Tilley Court at Schuldes Sports Center.

The Green Knights moved to 51-0 all-time against the Vikings in a series dating back to the 1978 season. St. Norbert improved to 18-7 overall and 3-1 in the MWC with the win, while Lawrence dropped to 10-14, 1-4.

St. Norbert had to fight off Lawrence in each set, with the Green Knights claiming a 25-20, 25-23, 25-21 win. The Green Knights hit a robust .458 in the first set to pull away, getting 14 kills in 24 attempts against just three errors. St. Norbert finished hitting .320 for the match, with 43 kills and 12 errors in 97 attempts.

Sarah Sulentic hit .625 for the match, posting 11 kills with one error in 16 attempts. Danielle Remy hit .474, registering 11 kills with two errors in 19 attempts. Abby West finished with 38 assists, while Catherine Guido had 16 assists and Mark Kate Manion added 12. Sulentic added four blocks.

Lawrence hit .172 for the match, with 31 kills and 14 errors in 99 attempts. Clare Bohrer had 11 kills in 25 attempts with four errors. Diane McLeod had 29 assists, while Kathleen Rowland had 17 digs.

St. Norbert hosts a pair of Midwest Conference matches this weekend, facing Illinois College at 7 p.m. Friday and league leader Monmouth College at 1 p.m. Saturday at Schuldes Sports Center.
