BLAINE, Minn. - A pair of third-period goals lifted St. Norbert College to a 3-2 non-conference win over Bethel University at Bethel University Arena.

The Green Knights, ranked third in the USCHO.com Division III Poll, improved to 3-1 on the year. Bethel dropped to 0-4.

St. Norbert trailed for most of the first two periods of play. Bethel's Jake Kogler scored a power-play goal 2 minutes 41 seconds into the game to give the Royals a 1-0 lead. That marker stood up until late in the second period, when Joe Perry notched his first collegiate goal with 1:26 left in that period to tie it at 1-1.

Brandon Longley then scored at 6:04 of the third period off a backdoor pass from Johan Ryd to finish off a power-play conversion. Kogler would retie the game just 1:21 later, but Kyle Stroh scored his first goal of the year at 8:19 for the eventual game-winning marker.

Bethel pulled goaltender Zac Bush with 1:19 left, but St. Norbert clogged the shooting lanes and blocked several shots to preserve the win.

St. Norbert outshot Bethel 42-25, and each team was 1-for-5 on the power play.

Mike Martin picked up the win in net for St. Norbert, making 23 saves in his collegiate debut. Bush made 39 saves for Bethel, including a 19-save first period.
