Distance Runners Lead St. Norbert at Indiana Gladstein Invitational

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - St. Norbert College's Sara Hasenjager and Amanda Whipple paced the Green Knights' contingent competing at Indiana University's Gladstein Invitational.

Hasenjager finished fourth in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 18 minutes 40.84 seconds, while Whipple finished fifth in a time of 18:48.71. The Gladstein Invitational features mostly Division I and II competition.

Emily Schudrowitz finished sixth in the 800-meter invitational race with a time of 2:15.69. She added a tenth-place showing in the 400 meters with a sprint of 59.39 seconds.

Megan Domnick was sixth in the 800 in 2:19.48, and followed with an 18th-place finish in the 400 in 1:00.93.

St. Norbert also competed at the Northern Michigan University Northern Challenge, held in the Superior Dome in Marquette.

Emily Erickson finished second in the 3,000-meter run in a time of 11:27.47. Jaclyn Kerner and Kari Braatz finished second and third, respectively, in the 300-meter dash in 43.99 and 45.47 seconds. Jenny Wiedemeier and Danielle Krause were tied for second in the pole vault at 2.59 meters.
