Zimmerman Named Third-Team Academic All-District

DE PERE - St. Norbert College senior first baseman Kristin Zimmerman has been named to the third team of the Capitol One Academic All-District V softball team presented by the College Sports Information Directors of America.

Zimmerman, a native of Green Bay and a graduate of East High School, owns a 3.73 cumulative grade point average while double majoring in education and Spanish.

Entering play at this weekend's Midwest Conference Tournament, Zimmerman was hitting .291 with one home run and 20 runs batted in. Her 21 runs scored is good for third on the squad, and she has started all 33 games this season.

Zimmerman was also a four-year letterwinner in basketball at St. Norbert, averaging 3.0 points per game this past season for the Midwest Conference champion.
