St. Norbert Finishes Second at Wisconsin Private College Invitational

LA CROSSE - St. Norbert College finished as the runner-up at the Wisconsin Private College Invitational hosted by Viterbo University at Pettibone Park.

The Green Knights finished with 73 points to finish well behind champion Viterbo's 30 points. Bea Foley of Viterbo won the 6,000-meter race in a time of 22 minutes 41 seconds. A total of 91 runners competed.

Elvia Martinez led St. Norbert with a sixth-place overall finish, posting a time of 24:47. Lauren James finished seventh in 24:56. Sara Hasenjager was 15th with a time of 25:45, while Steph Hietpas was 22nd in 26:34. Meghan Valentine finished 23rd overall to complete St. Norbert's scoring with a time of 26:47.

The Green Knights also sent a team to the UW-Oshkosh Brooks Invitational hosted at Lake Breeze Golf Course in Winneconne. St. Norbert finished 20th out of 43 teams with a score of 541 points. Washington University won the meet with 61 points. A total of 395 runners competed.

Amanda Whipple finished 61st in a time of 23:11, while Mackenzie Weber was 87th in 23:30. Kelsey Timm finished 118th overall in 23:49, while Emily Erickson was 150th in 24:07. Emily Schudrowitz was St. Norbert's fifth runner with a time of 24:13 to finish 164th.
