The Green Knights, ranked No. 1 in the USCHO.com Division III Poll, improved to 2-1 overall and 1-1 in the NCHA. Stevens Point dropped to 1-2, 1-1.
St. Norbert opened with the game's first goal when Johan Ryd buried a shot at 13 minutes 59 seconds of the first period, with Cullen Bradshaw assisting.
Bradshaw then gave St. Norbert a 2-0 lead after Ryd cycled the puck around from behind the net and fed it to an open shooter at 13:50. Emil Haque scored 52 seconds later, tallying his first collegiate goal, for a 3-0 St. Norbert lead. The Pointers answered 25 seconds later when Brandon Busse cashed in on a breakaway.
Kyle Stroh scored the game's final marker at 11:37 of the third period on a power-play score. Stroh patiently waited for a shooting lane and beat Stevens Point goaltender Nick Graves for the score.
The Green Knights held a 28-17 advantage in shots-on-goal. St. Norbert was 1-for-6 on the power play, while the Pointers were 0-for-4. Travis Bosch registered 16 saves for St. Norbert, while Graves turned away 24 shots for the Pointers.
