DE PERE - St. Norbert College dropped the championship match of the Midwest Conference Women's Soccer Tournament by a 2-1 score to Carroll University on Kolstad Field at Schneider Stadium.

The Green Knights (11-8-1) took a 1-0 lead at the 27 minutes 35 seconds mark when Brittany Kosobucki finished a cross from Katie Vanden Avond for her second goal of the year.

Carroll (11-8-1) responded just before halftime. Leah Wiercinski played a direct kick to the front of the goal area and Kara Delie knocked it in at 37:10 for the equalizer.

The Pioneers scored the game-winner at 54:01. Liana Foreman played a ball along the goal line and centered it out front to Delie, who converted again for her sixth goal of the season.

St. Norbert couldn't generate much offense, with its two leading goal scorers, Vanden Avond and Katherine Larson, getting one shot combined. Carroll outshot the Green Knights 5-4 and held a 9-2 advantage in corner kicks.

Sarah Platzer made two saves for St. Norbert. Kate Maxwell stopped three shots for the Pioneers.
