Green Knights Open Season at Pointer Quad

STEVENS POINT - St. Norbert College opened its 2012 indoor track and field season by competing in at UW-Stevens Point's Pointer Quad. The meet did not keep team scores.
Joe McArdle picked up St. Norbert's lone first-place finish, claiming top honors in the shot put with a heave of 13.62 meters.
Ryan Ascher was second in both the 200- and 300-meter dashes. Ascher ran a time of 24.07 seconds in the 200 before following with the same result in the 300. Akeem Edmonds placed third in both races, including a time of 24.13 seconds in the 200.
Tyler Seidl was second in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.45 seconds. Mike Verfuerth was second in the long jump with a distance of 6.06 meters. Andrew Jacobson was second in the triple jump with a distance of 11.90 meters.
Bryon Betts was third in the weight throw with a length of 13.75 meters. Jordan Baker was third in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.47 seconds.
