St. Norbert Falls to Foresters

LAKE FOREST, Ill. - St. Norbert College shot just 33.9 percent from the floor and dropped a 62-54 decision to Lake Forest College in a Midwest Conference game at the LFC Sports Center.

The Green Knights fell to 9-6 overall, 6-4 in the MWC. Lake Forest won its 13th consecutive game in improving to 13-1, 9-0.

Lake Forest led 23-22 at halftime before slowly pulling away in the second half. The Green Knights were within two points with about 5 minutes remaining, but couldn't get closer.

Brandon Gries led St. Norbert with 17 points, while Andrew Schwoerer added 10 points and eight rebounds. The Green Knights connected on 21 of 62 field goals.

Lake Forest was led by Travis Clark's 17 points and 18 rebounds. James Stack added 17 points, while Jeff Beck chipped in wit h 16 points. The Foresters shot 43.2 percent (19-for-44) from the floor).
