Lake Forest Tops St. Norbert

GREEN BAY - St. Norbert College dropped a 3-1 decision to Lake Forest College in a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association game at the Cornerstone Community Center's Resch Olympic Pavilion.

The Green Knights, who took a 3-1 decision over the Foresters in Friday's series opener, fell to 7-11 overall and 5-8 in the NCHA. Lake Forest improved to 11-6-1, 10-4.

Lake Forest took a 2-0 lead after the first period on a pair of goals by Marissa Weber at 2:28 and 16:49.

The Green Knights responded with a 5-on-3 power-play goal by Danielle Rozon at 8:28 of the second period, with Emma Agen assisting. But Lake Forest would seal the win on a goal by Kim Herring at 5:16 of the third period, a score coming on a power play that was 12 seconds short of expiring.

Lake Forest held a 54-48 shots advantage. Katie Aluia posted 51 saves for the Green Knights, while Jenna Brankin made 47 saves. The Foresters were 1-for-7 on the power play, while the Green Knights were 1-for-6.
