Green Knights Finish Fourth at Ripon Invite

RIPON - The St. Norbert College men's track and field team placed fourth at the Sherman-Lukoski Invitational at Ingalls Field.

The Green Knights totaled 103 points. Ripon won the event with 242 points, followed by Michigan Tech's 133 points and Wisconsin Lutheran's 115 points.

Dann Schneider won the Green Knights' lone individual championship. Schneider won the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.94 seconds. Schneider also helped St. Norbert to a win in the 4x400-meter relay, teaming with Steve Schumacher, Ham Dowden and Ed Honn to claim the triumph in 3:35.85.

Schneider, Tom Georgia, Alex Albers and Dustin Dessell placed second in the 4x100-meter relay with a time of 44.13 seconds.

Albers placed second in the 110-meter hurdles in 16.66 seconds, followed by Josh Zweiger's third-place run of 16.72 seconds.

Tony Dionne placed in the top four in three field events. Dionne finished third in the shot put (12.62 meters) and discus (27.68 meters), and added a fourth-place showing in the hammer throw (34.37 meters).

Georgia was fourth in the 100 dash with a sprint of 11.65 seconds, while Tony Grossman added a third in the 400 hurdles with a run of 60.12 seconds.
