Green Knights Offense Clicks in Rout of Carroll

DE PERE - St. Norbert College shot a school-record 70.8 percent from the floor en route to a 97-46 destruction of Carroll University in a Midwest Conference win on Connie Tilley Court at Schuldes Sports Center.

The Green Knights (18-4, 16-1 MWC) connected on 34 of 48 field-goal attempts and were also a robust 28-for-33 (84.8 percent) from the free-throw line. St. Norbert also held a whopping plus-28 rebounding margin, collecting a 43-15 edge on the glass over the Pioneers (10-11, 9-8). In the second half alone, S.t Norbert made 19 of 24 field goals (79.2 percent) and 23 of 25 free throws (84.8 percent) to score 61 points.

The mystery was taken out of the game right from the start, with St. Norbert jumping out to 26-4 lead in the game's first 12 minutes. The Green Knights led 7-4 at the 14:54 mark of the half, but then went on a 19-0 run over the next 7 minutes to take control.

Krista Pelky pumped in 25 points and Jamie Kuhl added 22 points in their final regular-season home games. Tasha Giese had 12 points and 10 rebounsd, while Krista Hawkinson added 12 points. Lauren Carmen chipped in with 11 points and eight rebounds.

Carroll's Janelle Groer had a team-high nine points. The Pioneers shot 33.3 percent (20-for-60) from the floor.
