St. Norbert Picks Up Five Event Wins at Carroll

WAUKESHA - St. Norbert College earned five event championships at the Carroll University Invitational. The meet was unscored.

Justin Johnson won the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 14.98 seconds. The Green Knights also got two first-place finishes in field events. Anthony Parker was first in the triple jump with a distance of 42 feet 6 inches. Bryon Betts won the discus throw with a heave of 138-9.

Two relays also picked up wins. The 4x100-meter relay of Tyler Seidl, Johnson, Taylor Pasterski and Louis Ayensu-Mensah won with a time of 43.76 seconds. The 4x400-meter relay of Pasterski, Johnson, Akeem Edmonds and Jake Schneider claimed first place with a time of 3:25.31.

Jake Day finished second in the javelin throw with a toss of 154-1. Mike Verfuerth was second in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.99 seconds, and he was also second in the long jump with a distance of 21-4 3/4.

Pasterski was third in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.35 seconds. Mike Linzmeier was third in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:05.02. James Montgomery was third in the high jump with a height of 5-10 3/4, while Andrew Jacobson was third in the long jump at 21-3 1/4.
