KENOSHA - St. Norbert College couldn't hold a mid-game lead and saw its 11-game winning streak snapped in a tough 10-9 non-conference loss at Carthage College.

The Green Knights held an 8-4 lead in the sixth inning before the Red Men answered with six runs in the bottom of the inning. Carthage got a two-out grand slam from Matt Richer, a .226 hitter entering the game, to put it ahead 10-8.

St. Norbert (19-11) built a 5-3 lead in the fourth with four runs in its top half of the inning. Jose Godinez scored on an error, and Chad Ljunggren scored on Jordan Powers' sacrifice. Alex Larsen scored on a balk and Matt Hannon had an RBI single.

The Red Men (18-16) cut it to 5-4 before St. Norbert added two runs in the fifth on a Troy Rottier RBI single and a bases-loaded walk by Powers.

Ljunggren was 2-for-3 with two runs scored, while Rottier and Hannon were both 2-for-5. Chris Hillesheim took the loss, allowing two runs in one inning of relief.
