St. Norbert Settles for Tie at Carthage

KENOSHA - St. Norbert College saw an early two-goal lead disappear and had to settle for a 2-2 tie with host Carthage College at the Battle on the Border Tournament at Art Keller Field.
The Green Knights (4-0-1) jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first 11 minutes of the game. Brittany Kosobucki scored her third goal of the season at the 6 minutes 30 seconds mark for a 1-0 lead. Nicole Beine followed with her second marker of the year at 10:28.
The Lady Reds (1-2-1) rallied behind Rachel Jason's goal at 28:03 and Shelby Hawley's score at 36:15.
St. Norbert held a 6-2 shots edge in the second half and a 3-0 nod in the first overtime but couldn't find the game-winner. Carthage, behind an 11-3 shots edge in the first half, held a 17-14 advantage for the game. The Lady Reds also had an 8-3 difference in corner kicks.
Sarah Platzer made seven saves for the Green Knights.
