Green Knights Split With WIAC Foes

APPLETON - St. Norbert College split a pair of matches against Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference foes in a double dual held at Lawrence University's Alexander Gym.

The Green Knights (8-2) topped UW-Oshkosh 25-21, 22-25, 25-23, 25-22. St. Norbert then fell to UW-Stevens Point 25-16, 21-25, 25-20, 26-24 in the second match of the night.

Against Oshkosh, Danielle Remy led the offense with 12 kills, while Heidi Spies added nine. Abby West finished with 39 assists, and Spies added four service aces. Catherine Guido finished with 20 digs, while Breanne Brocker tallied 16.

Remy led the way again against Stevens Point, finishing with 12 kills and six blocks. Brocker had 19 digs and 10 kills. West totaled 27 assists. Guido ended with 30 digs, and Spies had five blocks.

St. Norbert will participate in the Carthage College Tournament in Kenosha on Friday and Saturday, opening with a match at 3:30 p.m. Friday against nationally ranked University of Chicago.
