Green Knights Battle to Stalemate With Blueboys

DE PERE - St. Norbert College had its opportunities in the second half and overtime but couldn't find the go-ahead goal and had to settle for a 1-1 tie with Illinois College in a Midwest Conference match at Minahan Stadium.

The Green Knights (3-2-2, 0-1-1 MWC) outshot the Blueboys 10-1 in the second half and had several quality chances in the final 10 minutes, but couldn't find the net. St. Norbert outshot Illinois College 22-7 for the game.

Illinois College (4-2-2, 0-1-1 MWC) drew first blood when Alex Gagnor scored on a breakaway just 3 minutes 23 seconds into the game. St. Norbert connected on the equalizer at 32:16, with Jim Blisk knocked in a goal following a cople of passes from Sam Gordon and Thomas Gritton.

Noah Davis did not have a save in 110 minutes of action, while Trevor Donahue made seven saves for the Blueboys.
