DE PERE - St. Norbert College couldn't find the back of the net in heavy rain in a 1-0 loss to Carroll University in a Midwest Conference match on Kolstad Field at Schneider Stadium.
The Green Knights (8-3-2, 3-1-1 MWC) did not record a shot in the first half when they had to play into a strong north wind, and had nine shots in the second half but couldn't find the equalizer after falling behind 1-0.
Carroll (9-4-1, 5-2) scored the match's lone goal with a 30-yard strike by Sarah Tennant during the 26th minute.
The Pioneers outshot St. Norbert 10-89 and had a 5-2 edge in corner kicks. Sarah Platzer made seven saves for the Green Knights, while Katie Maxwell made six saves for Carroll.
