DE PERE - St. Norbert College netted five third-period goals to rally for a 6-3 win over St. Mary's University in a non-conference season opener at the Resch Olympic Pavilion.

The Green Knights (1-0) trailed 3-1 midway through the third period before scoring five goals in a 6 minutes 9 seconds stretch to seize control from the Cardinals (0-1).

St. Mary's led 2-1 after two periods. St. Norbert scored the first goal on a score by Karissa Anderson at 7:05 of the second period, but the Cardinals closed out the frame with scores by Brooke Bartelt and on the power play by Breanna Peterson.

The Cardinals appeared to take control when they went ahead 3-1 at 2:41 of the third period on a power-play marker by Macki Fadness.

St. Norbert furiously answered when Henriette Ostergaard scored unassisted at 10:50 to halve the deficit. Ali Parker scored 24 seconds later to tie the game. Just 49 seconds later, Andrea Senne pushed the Green Knights ahead. Lauren Roethlisberger scored her first collegiate goal at 14:09 to give St. Norbert an insurance goal, and Ostergaard concluded the flurry with another unassisted marker at 16:59.
