St. Norbert Earns Tie With Nationally Ranked Concordia-Moorhead

DE PERE - St. Norbert College scored late in regulation time to forget a 1-1 overtime tie with Concordia-Moorhead College in a non-conference game at Resch Olympic Pavilion.

The Green Knights (1-0-1) got the equalizer with 36 seconds left in the third period when Laurel Hill scored an extra-attacker, power-play goal. St. Norbert pulled goaltender Kaley Gibson with 2:20 left in regulation, and the Cobbers (1-0-1), ranked No. 8 in the D3hockey.com Top 10, then took a hooking penalty with 1:14 left to give the Green Knights a 6-on-4 advantage.

The game was scoreless through two periods before Concordia's Breann Julius scored a power-play goal at 5:37 of the third period.

St. Norbert dominated puck possession in the third period and overtime, outshooting Concordia 16-4 in the third period and 4-0 in overtime.

The Green Knights outshot the Cobbers 36-32 for the game, and were 1-for-6 on the power play. Concordia was 1-for-7 with a player advantage. Gibson made 31 saves for St. Norbert, while Rebecca Hendrickson made 35 stops for the Cobbers.
