Three Named to All-Midwest Conference Team

DE PERE - St. Norbert College had three volleyball players reach All-Midwest Conference status this season according to the league's honor squad announced today by the MWC.

Senior defensive specialist Catherine Guido and senior middle hitter Danielle Remy were both first-team All-MWC selections, while sophomore outside hitter Breanne Brocker was a second-team all-league choice.

Guido finished second in the Midwest Conference with 5.81 digs per set, finishing with a total of 581 digs this season. Guido ended her career as the St. Norbert career leader in digs with 2,614.

Remy led the MWC with a .281 hitting percentage, finishing with 323 kills in 801 attempts against 98 errors. Remy's 143 blocks led to an average of 1.29 per set, the second-best mark in the league.

Brocker finished the year hitting .222, posting 309 kills with 103 errors in 929 attempts. She was second on the team with 453 digs and also had 66 blocks.

Cornell's Kathleen O'Connor was named the MWC Player of the Year, while Cornell coach Jeff Meeker was tabbed MWC Coach of the Year.
