STEVENS POINT - St. Norbert College freshman pitcher Kari Corbeille made her collegiate debut a memorable one to help lead the Green Knights to a doubleheader split with UW-Stevens Point at McCarty Field.

Corbeille, a freshman Crivitz, threw a three-hitter as the Green Knights (15-12) won the opener 5-2 in eight innings. The Pointers (21-7) came back to take the nightcap 6-0.

Brieanne Oehlke hit a three-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to give the Green Knights the victory. Corbeille retired the Pointers in order in the bottom of the eighth to close out the win.

Corbeille walked three and struck out three, and was touched for only a two-run home run by Chelsea McIlquham in the bottom of the sixth inning.

St. Norbert scored two runs in the top of the sixth on RBI singles by Lindsey Reynolds to drive in Tracy Palmer and Oehlke to score Sam Boushley.

Reynolds and Oehlke were both 2-for-3 in the opener, while Jes Van Hout was 2-for-4.

St. Norbert couldn't solve Stevens Point's Kayla Kastenmeier in the nightcap. Kastenmeier spun a five-hit shutout with no walks and 13 strikeouts to give the Pointers the split.

Mara Resch took the loss in the nightcap for St. Norbert, allowing six hits and five runs in four innings. Kayla Krueger was 2-for-3 for St. Norbert in the second game.
