EAU CLAIRE - St. Norbert College allowed four goals to UW-Eau Claire in the second period, and that was enough to prove the difference as the Green Knights dropped a 4-3 decision to the Blugolds in a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association game at Hobbs Ice Center.

The Green Knights (3-2-2, 2-2-1 NCHA) led 2-0. St. Norbert led 1-0 after the first period - a frame where it outshot Eau Claire 17-3 - following Kelley Ritchie's first goal of the season at 14:25. The Green Knights pushed ahead by two goals when Zoe Kurth netted her second marker of the year at 4:35 of the second period.

Eau Claire (2-5-2, 2-3-2) answered in the final 10-plus minutes of the second period to take control. Emily Larson scored at 9:37, followed by Emily Haluska's score at 11:57 to tie the game. Sam Knutson scored at 13:45 to put the Blugolds ahead 3-2, and Hadley Cookson scored at 18:26 for the eventual game-winning goal.

Laurel Hill's power-play goal with 1 second remaining in the game was the Green Knights' only third-period goal.

St. Norbert outshot Eau Claire 34-23, but the Blugolds held the upper hand in the second period 13-6. St. Norbert was 1-for-4 on the power play, while Eau Claire was 0-for-4.
