SUPERIOR - St. Norbert College won for the seventh consecutive game as the Green Knights posted a 5-0 win over UW-Superior in a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association game at Wessman Arena.

The Green Knights (13-2-1, 7-1-1 NCHA) shutout the Yellowjackets (10-5-1, 5-3-1) for the second consecutive time in Superior, recording a scoreless tie there last season. The five-goal win marked the largest margin of victory ever for the Green Knights at Wessman Arena, who are 9-9-9 there in 27 games all-time.

St. Norbert wasted little time in taking command of the game, picking up three goals in the first 11 minutes 42 seconds. Joe Perry scored his eighth goal of the season just 3:42 into the game, and Kyle Stroh scored his team-best 14th goal of the year with a power-play marker at the 5:17 mark. Brandon Hoogenboom tallied his second goal of the season with 11:42 elapsed.

Perry scored for the second time in the game at the 6:56 mark of the second period. Cody Keefer scored just as a Superior penalty was expiring, getting his tenth goal of the season at 16:16 of the third period.

Perry added an assist on Keefer's goal for a three-point game, while Stroh assisted on Perry's second goal for a two-point night. Cullen Bradshaw added two assists.

David Jacobson made 25 saves for his fifth shutout of the season, extending his NCAA Division III lead. Drew Strandberg made 19 saves for the Yellowjackets.

The game featured just three penalties, a rarity for a St. Norbert-Superior matchup. St. Norbert, which had one penalty, was 1-for-2 on the power play. Superior, which had two penalties, was scoreless in its only power-play chance.
