St. Norbert Romps Past Finlandia

HANCOCK, Mich. - St. Norbert College matched a school record for goals in a game and cruised to a 10-0 win over Finlandia University in a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association game at Houghton County Arena.

The Green Knights (6-8-2, 4-6-1 NCHA) outshot the overmatched Lions (0-15, 0-11) by a 63-3 count. St. Norbert's other 10-goal outing came in a 10-0 win over Marian on Dec. 10, 2010.

St. Norbert got four goals in the first period. Andrea Senne scored at 7:11, followed by a Tarraneh Dadgar power-play goal at 13:20. Senne scored again for her team-high eighth goal of the year at 14:17, and Karissa Anderson connected at 16:33.

Zoe Kurth registered a 4-on-4 goal at 2:33 of the second period, and Anderson scored at 6:10 to make it 6-0. Danielle Rozon scored at 15:23 for a 7-0 lead after two periods.

Ali Parker, Kurth and Kelley Ritchie all scored third-period goals for the game's final margin.

Senne and Anderson both had three assists to give each skater a five-point game, which both match a school record. Rozon had two assists for a three-point game. Laurel Hill, Katie Conlon and Henriette Ostergaard all had two assists each.

Kaley Gibson made all three saves to get the shutout for the Green Knights. Breanna Hynes made 53 saves for the Lions. St. Norbert was 1-for-5 on the power play, while Finlandia was 0-for-5.
